Service Casualty Office Contacts
Your Service Casualty Offices (SCO's) serve family members. Each Military Department maintains a service casualty office. The Department of State does the same for civilians. The officials in these offices serve as the primary liaisons between the families and other agencies involved in the personnel recovery and accounting mission. Full-time civilians who have worked this issue for many years and are experienced and knowledgeable help answer family member questions. Each service casualty office will assign a Service Casualty Officer to the family member for their missing service member.
