After years of frustration trying to resolve our own MIA Case (MACR 15043 missing A/C 43-48308) we decided something needed to be done - not only for our case but ALL WWII cases. We were told repeatedly that the WWII Families did not have a voice. Without an organized group we realized that we could not make a stand. We then decided in 2005 to unite with ALL WWII families to help bring resolution to the WWII efforts.
Right now WWII has more unaccounted for service personnel than all of the other conflicts, yet has the least of the Department of Defense Budget spent on recovery efforts. We are trying to change this. We have met with various members of Congress on this issue and will continue to ask Congress to allocate more funding for research and recovery efforts for our missing. United we will be the LOUD voice for WWII and we will make a difference in the WWII efforts of research and recovery. We continue to work with JPAC, DPMO and the Casualty Offices, as well as some members of Congress on this issue.
